Soccer has always been part of coach Sonny's life. Coach Sonny loves playing as well as coaching. While living in Germany, he played in amateur league as a junior. After moving to US, coach Sonny played for Roosevelt High School for 1 year where he received varsity letter. After that, he received full scholarship at Grand View University for 4 years and played semi pro for Des Moines Menace. Coach Sonny has coached numerous soccer clinics and summer soccer camps with kids ranging from 6-18 years old while attending Grand View University. Two years as a volunteer head coach for U of Iowa Men's Soccer Club. Coach Sonny enjoys and has so much fun passing on some of knowledge to the next generation of soccer players and watch them getting better every day. Currently holding National F coaching license.
Coach Stevo was born and raised in Europe, at age four his family made the move to the United States. He began his journey playing youth soccer for a local club in Waterloo, Iowa and then went on to play for the Cedar Valley Youth Soccer Association. He attended Waterloo West High School where he played and captained the team his senior year as well as captaining his club team, Cedar Valley Select. After high school, coach Stevo played for the University of Northern Iowa and Western Illinois University. Post College, Stevo played 2 years of Semi-Pro Soccer with the Minnesota Twin Stars. He then spent some time in Europe and in Thailand attempting to further his playing career where his passion ultimately evolved into passing on what he’s learned and experienced in the form of coaching. Stevo has grown as a player and as a person throughout his experiences and hopes to pass the knowledge he’s gained on to others.
Coach Haris grew up playing soccer in Europe for various clubs. At the age of 13 he moved to United States to continue his soccer career and schooling. He played high school soccer at Waterloo West, where he was a standout athlete for 4 years, as well as playing club soccer for FC Midwest and Cedar Valley Select. After that, he received a soccer scholarship at Mount Mercy where he captained the team to the National Tournament in ‘15. In addition to playing for Mount Mercy, Coach Haris played semi pro soccer in Florida and Vermont for 3 years. During that period he has spent a lot of time coaching kids, ages 5-18. He also coached 2 years at Xavier High and 1 year at Marion High School. In 2016, Coach Haris signed a professional contract with MFK Frydek Mistek in Czech Republic becoming the first players from Waterloo to sign with a professional team. After coming back to US, Coach Haris decided that he wants to focus on coaching to help players develop into great athletes and build opportunities to reach professional ranks. Holding National F coaching license and IHSAA license.
